New Favorite designer: Stella Jean
I actually gasped when I saw this collection. A Roman-born designer of Caribbean origin. Makes sense. Stella Jean, very easily rivaling Suno and Marni as my favorite fashion designer of the moment. Have you ever seen clothing so gorgeous?
These are some of the best looks I’ve ever seen! The last one and the green floral maxi need to be in my closet.

i LOVE it! But right away I was a little disinterested because of the model choice. Does that ever both you too? These clothes have a history, obvs, and I wish models could at least reflect some of that.
Yes, It would have been nice if they mixed it up a little more with the model choices, but they’re a very young company–let’s hope they grow into some more diverse models choices in future collections.

These pieces are strikingly familiar to Boxing Kitten. And I agree with mari, the model choice could’ve been a little more diverse, especially considering the origin of most of this fabric is West Africa.
