I got a new lens for my camera, that I, in all honesty, feel like I still have no clue how to use. I walked around the Jungalow testing out ‘aperture’ n’ stuff. We had just rearranged a few things in a feeble attempt to make more room for the Boom. I really want to get better at taking pictures–both for work and for the arrival of our little one. I think photography is so fun but I never got beyond a couple of classes in college. I want to know more about lighting and angles and stuff. Of course, the documentary I watched on Annie Leibovitz on TV the other day didn’t help to boost my confidence any. I’m pretty happy with these shots although I’ve gotten so used to taking pics with my iphone that my Canon seems like this big, intimidating, overwhelming creature now. I may just have to actually read the manual or something. :P

I do always wonder how bloggers are also insanely great photographers too. You, however, are an honest shot, always great photos, nothing too over the top, something the everyday jungalicious girl can do too : )

  2. @Mari Honest shot?! I’ll take it. Thank you :D

I agree. I think your shots are wonderful – always the right mood, the right feeling. You’ll get plenty of practice shortly, as you reel off hundreds of snaps a day of baby….and I’m seriously not exaggerating :-)

  4. That colourful kitchen pan is all kinds of ace!

  5. I think these are lovely! And you don’t need fancy equipment to take great photos – honest!

  6. Haha, I like that “honest shot” expression. Those pictures of yours are beautiful, making your home look so inviting and alive. I have never been a sucker for high styled pictures, rather the real deal.

  7. *lol* we hear you. been there, done that and still learning!!!
