I can’t believe I didn’t know about Carolina K until I got an email from Carolina a couple of months ago. She was like “I think you’ll like my stuff” and after checking it out I was like “um…WOW! Yes!” So I couldn’t be more excited to share her collections with you today.
From Argentina, Carolina combines techniques of ancient cultures with urban styles. The result is is a funky, colorful mix of global yumyums I can’t get enough of. Plus, how cute is she??
Don’t you wanna travel around Latin America with her looking for inspiration? Yes please.
Carlina was kind enough to let me pick a piece from her winter collection that I could share with you all. I picked this sweater poncho–how could I not? Look at those tassels!! And, let me tell you, it came in the mail four days ago and I have not taken it off. It is so soft, so versatile, and one of those pieces that I can throw on over anything and feel instantly me. Plus, the piece looks good on any size. Look, the thin lady modelling it here looks *almost* as cute as me in it. :P he he.
So, here’s what you do to get some of Carolina K in your life and win this lovely poncho for yourself (retail price $250.00).

Especially perfect for when you are feeling a bit bland.

Saludos Justina! I’m crazy about the Red Copal Dress from Carolina’s summer collection. I’m a medical student and will be going to help out a clinic in Piura, Peru very soon. The dress would be perfect for exploring the “city of eternal heat” after clinic hours. I also love the Fausta dress but I would have to go somewhere else, like Cuzco, to wear it. Just another excuse to extend my trip!!

It’s amazing to see the direction the designer has taken since her first collection. The colours and authenticity are so dreamy! I am head over heels (=P pardon the pun) in love with the Polo&Kara Boots. I would wear these girls horseback riding through the mountains and countryside in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Hey Justina!
I’m going to Madrid in March and although the temps begin to warm up during the day, it’s still pretty chilly at night! So I’d rock the Xul Hood/Scarf to keep warm AND look good! http://www.carolinak.com/store_online_prod_desc.php?id=811&catid=34#

I keep trying to post but for some reason it’s not letting me – I would wear the Romana Skirt AW11 on a crisp autumn day with a skinny rib and sheepskin coat and go for a romantic stroll in the park stopping occasionally to enjoy the beautiful autumn colours surrounding us and kick up the fallen leaves

I tried to pin the Nico oxfords on the very last page but I couldn’t get it to work either. I LOVE the NICO shoes, they are amazing. I’m not a very poetic person, so I can’t really dream up a senario here, however the next time I leave the country I want to visit my cousin in Slovakia. Then go explore Turkey, mainly Istanbul cuz I’m obsessed with the textiles from there and then maybe go to the croatian islands. Of course I would be wearing the Nico shoes everywhere.

Ooohhh, I wanna wear that Sofia dress coat to jetset to exotic locales! Oh and I’d wear the Fausta dress out to every single holiday party I am invited to this year and to cocktails with girlfriends. But as I am 29 weeks pregnant and have to take a major break from jetsetting and drinks and party I could make the most immediate use of the Xul sweater scarf that I could drape over my pregnant lady uniform of tights and tunic….it’s getting chilly here in Brooklyn!
Merry Meri says
Holy amazing! I want the Xul Hood/Scarf and I’d take it on a romantic autumn getaway to the vineyards of Argentina! Pick me, if I win, I just might have to go ha!!!

Many thanks for introducing me to this lovely collection. My favorite is the Isabella Pants. I would wear them with my well-worn boots, horseback riding at Cape Hatteras Island, North Carolina on a sun-splashed December day. I can smell a most refreshing mix of saddle leather, horse sweat, and salt air as I type :o).

It’s about as big as my head. I don’t know what to do with it, though. I made it as a type of relaxation thing, not for anything in particular.

You don’t HAVE to buy into my beliefs if you don’t increase your muscle strength you won’t ever be able to eat less from the main course. The bread has great flavor, is nice and dense and it is based on the atkins diet. I hate dieting juicing recipes and I hate everything to do with it. And yes, eat your healthy snacks on your small saucer plate as well. Self-deprivation is likely to eat. But I believe with all my heart that the cycle of dieting juicing recipes, you truly need to get that huge.
