If you are anything like me, then having a really good cup of coffee has as much to do with the setting, the cup that the coffee is in–and the whole coffee experience. Yesterday we stopped for a cup at this cute spot, Ipsen & Co where we sat outside at picnic tables (with benches covered in sheepskin throws, ya…) and a cute little bar window serving passersby. The cap’s and lattes were served to us in these sweet saucers, each one different from the next. I fell in love. After a bit of research I discovered that they are from here, and their whole range is really pretty sweet. Is it just me, or does coffee actually taste *better* in really good mugs?

Funny and maybe also a little embarrassing that I have to read a foreign blog to be inspired where to go in my own city :-) Btw, so nice pictures you showed from the cph flat. Would you happen to know the artists of the two paintings in the second picture? Enjoy the rest of your stay here. Br, Annemarie

Hej Annemarie! Ha! Your comment made me smile–I’m sure the same would happen to me if a blogger I enjoy visited LA for the first time, Sometimes, it’s all about seeing things with a fresh pair of eyes. –as for the artists in the paintings–I just looked at them and it’s really hard to say, although the smaller painting has a clear 1986 written on it–I can try and ask the owner of the house at some point. I’ll keep you posted if I find out anything.

Great – keep me posted. I am especially interested in the artist behind the big “yellow” painting. Sounds like you are enjoying Denmark a lot!

I am extremely picky about the cup I use for my coffee. Now I have two favorite and it really is a struggle to choose every morning:) one thing Is pretty constant – I only pour half a cup, for some reason I do not like a full cup, seems overwhelming.

Oh funny! My sister is like you–she like to only have a little bit of food on her plate at one time or she feels overwhelmed!! too funny!

YES!!! You have hit the nail on the head! I’ve recently been wanting coffee, but then kind of NOT wanting it…and I think the reason is because I long for the right experience as much as the actual tasty beverage. This post made me realize that!

This is so amazing. I was walking through Printemps here in Paris, and went gaga over these plates and cups that you have featured here. I’m going to buy a couple of bowls, and platters. I discovered them yesterday and here you have featured them so beautifully on your crazy cool blog.

I fell in love with Copenhagen at Ipsen & Co. And I immediately bought 4 of those mugs at Magasin for our new flat here. I completely concur. Cheers from Copenhagen!

I agree 100%. There are certain mugs or cups that can add to your coffee experience. I have my own experience of this. Whenever I drink coffee on my favorite mug, I feel good. But if I use other cups, the feeling is not the same. Anyway, did you know that coffee is a good painkiller? It is because of the amount of caffeine in it.
