Hi there. I'm Justina. Thanks for visiting my colorful corner of the web. I'm a designer and maker and this is my blog. Named one of the Best Home Decor Blogs by Refinery 29, this blog covers just about anything design related, with a focus
on upcycled, eco, and multi-cultural designs and the work that comes out
of my Design Studio. You will also find DIY projects, inspiration for upcycled projects, recipes and snapshots of bohemian-jungalow lifestyle in Los Angeles and beyond.
ABOUT ME
Originally from the Berkeley, California, I'm a design maniac with a bohemian heart. I'm Obsessed with color, the jungle, travel, creative reuse and thrifting. I studied World Arts and Cultures at UCLA and upon graduation I moved to
Italy, studied fashion design and then launched a boutique, design
collective, clothing label and co-authored four design books published
by Random House. (ya, it was a lot!) After six years in Florence and two in Brooklyn working as editor and
contributor to numerous arts and culture publications, I came back to LA. Now I live in a Jungalow on the East Side of Los Angeles with my writer husband, Jason and our Cat, Luda. We are expecting our first child (AKA L'il Boomba) in July. We grow vegetables, enjoy our CSA produce box every week and work on wacky creative projects daily.

ReplyDeleteHere was something I already knew to be true about myself: Just as there are some wives who will occasionally need a break from their husbands in order to visit a spa for the weekend with their girlfriends, I will always be the sort of wife who occasionally needs a break from her husband in order to visit Cambodia. Just for a few days!
