For those of you who have traveled to Florence, Italy– you know that the city is STUNNING, but that it has a very limited color palate: the gray shades of stone, the yellow/ cream color paint of most of the buildings, and the burnt Sienna red color of the roof-tops. That is why it couldn’t have been more refreshing to be invited to tour the Florentine Apartment of my good friend Barbara Iacoviello– a fashion designer and artist who couldn’t be more fierce when it comes to color. Barbara has designed for numerous European design houses including Replay and H&M.
Grazie Barbie for letting me share your home!
DIY Ideas from Barbara’s Home:
1.) Use Coasters as serial wall art!
2.) Paint a tree branch and use it to hang small objects photos and postcards.
3.) Use wine bottles as flower vases
4.) Be fearless with color

thanks so much for sharing this! Gotta love anyone in Florence who paints bright colors outside of the lines of gray stone and burnt siena rooftops! (reminds me of the Compai boutique!)
