Tavin boutique is an ongoing client of mine and I oversee many of the design related aspects of the shop, including helping out with visual merchandising and decor of the space.
I just designed and installed their new Winter window display-(which you kinda have to see in person to capture it’s essence…so those of you who are in LA, the shop is truly worth a stop) I wanted to go with something very festive and fun, without it being too Christmas-y, because the window has to last through the Winter. I decided to go with silver and white as the colors, with ice-blue accents. The story behind the window design was “an Ice queen skating through and enchanted forest” With the help of one of my dear friends, Caitlin Levin, a prop stylist who came along to lend a trained eye and a pair of helpful hands, Erin Tavin (shop owner) and Ruthie, her Assistant, we decked out the whole shop in winter-wear and did our winter wonderland window with balloons, branches and bling!
Ooo… so much fun! Have any of you seen any cool and inventive holiday window displays yet? The good ones are always SO GOOD! Do share!
