Just lipstick lovers

I love brights.  I even met a new friend/client, (The talented photographer Annie McElwain)  at a shop opening a last month because we were wearing the same shade of lipstick! Lately, I’ve had a ton of people asking about the colors that I wear, so i thought I’d do a post about it.

#1 is Funny Face by Nars. Its a pretty bold pink, it’s matte and dry in the best way possible.  I like to wear in in the daytime with no eye makeup.

#2 is Dyani by Josie Maran Cosmetics (and no, this is not a shameless plug for Josie b/c she is my home-girl, I really do LOVE this lipstick.)  I wear it during the day, or when I have on more dramatic eye makeup on.  It’s super moisturizing and looks kind of 1960’s Madmen/Mod-ish.

#3 is Girl About Town by Mac. It’s pink, semi gloss.  good for partying. 

#4 is my go-to pink. Schiap By Nars. bright. bold. beautiful. (It’s the one I’m wearing in the above thumbnail pic).

#5 is my go-to red.  I go matte when I go red, and Russian Red by Mac is not orange-y or brown-y.  it’s perfect.

#6 is going to be a favorite, I can already tell. It’s Josie’s stain in Flamenco. It just came in. It goes on like a pen. I’m telling you, like a Sharpie. It’s so fun and the flat color it provides is a-mazing. Loves it.
