Welcome to my new column: Just a little something I learned in Italy. Once a week I will be posting things that I learned while living and working as a designer/ boutique owner in Italy for 7 years.
Lesson #1: Scissors are not just for seamstresses.
In Italy, if you have a pizza delivered to your home, it does not come pre-sliced. They use scissors to cut the pizza into neat triangles. (And then olive oil and fresh chili is sprinkled on top.) Scissors are also used to cut up basil, arugula and other leafy greens.
Italian language lesson: Scissors=Forbici (pronounced for.bee.chee)
