I have been working with the boutique Tavin since it’s inception last year– and of all of the varied design services I provide for the Tavin Boutique, I believe doing new window displays is my favorite. My concept for this design was a Monochromatic Attic.
I completely transformed the Tavin mannequin by painting her, giving her new hair, makeup and eyelashes. Then, I found a lot of attic like objects curb-side and we painted them all white (trying to keep it budget friendly and green). We painted books and then gave them a graphic egde with patterns drawn on with sharpies.
We vectorized and blew up a picture of the Thames that I took on my trip last year and placed it in the central column, so that the column looks like a window– add a few birds and some merch to the mix and voila! Our Monochromatic attic.
Check out the new window in person at 1543 Echo Park Ave. (I also did a complete restyling of the shop’s interior– so that’s worth checking out too)– not to mention the fact that Erin Tavin has some AMAZING pieces for sale in there…
