For the 4th installment of Inspire/Inquire we present Amy French, actress, writer and director who “love[s] to tell stories, and love[s] to make people laugh.” Amy’s feature length movie musical, “El Superstar: The Unlikely Rise of Juan Francés” is coming soon to theaters and dvd players. She told us:
If I were a city, I’d be: nestled between the ocean and the mountains. But with a reliable bus running several times a day between the two, which is how you know I’m not L.A.
If I were a sound, I’d be: I’d like to think a funky bass line, but it feels somehow conceited to say that. Maybe a fluffy little sunshine colored baby chick, farting.
If I were a spice, I’d be: what the fruit cart vendors refer to as chilé, but which you gringos call cayenne.
If I were a gemstone, I’d be: I don’t know from gemstones. In fact, I’m never quite sure how to respond when women show me their engagement rings, all giddy-like. I usually just say, “I’m glad you finally met someone.” I am aware this is not the correct reaction. I do, however, love gold, and so wedding bands make perfect sense.
We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely laughing…
