I really love looking at vintage decor book and magazines…. especially ones from far-off places. They give me a peek into a very different time and place, and yet, I usually feel right at home!
I got this very pre-loved Casa e Jardim (Home & Gardens) book at the Strand (the best bookstore in the world, I think) on my last trip to NYC. It amazes me how relevant everything still looks, from the graphics to the decor (with the exception of, perhaps, that hilarious towel ad that I included just for kicks…) I would LOVE to visit Brasil someday, but for now, magazines and books will have to suffice.
Do you read any foreign publications regularly? I read Elle Decor Italia and I get all things UK, love the French mag L’officiel and I also read a lot of Australian editions of mags. Any amazing foreign mags that I’m missing out on need to know about? I’d love some tips!
