Doilies are a great crafting material. Ready made crochet rounds, all set to be turned into a dainty collection of lamps, envelopes, purses, gift wrap, table runners…the possibilities are quite endless! Here is a round up of doily ‘dos’ that inspire.

5.) This last project nearly has me headed to the nearest craft shop for an embroidery hoop. I absolutely LOVE this doily pendant lamp and it would be so easy to DIY with a wooden embroidery hoop, some wire, doilies and a needle and thread.

I love that doily rug too – it’s so feminine and natural, and it looks like it’d work nicely in a room with a nautical theme (since it looks like a series of sailor knots).
