Hey all! I hope you had a great holiday weekend. Mine was very mellow. I wasn’t raised celebrating Christmas, so the 25th is just like any other day for me, except for scouring yelp to find places open to eat. But don’t get me wrong, I love the Holidays– It’s nice to relax. I saw a couple of movies (The King’s Speech was beautiful, with especially gorgeous interiors). I went to the Hollywood Farmers market, went to the outdoor ice skating rink in downtown LA with Faith and Noa, cleaned up a bit around the jungalow…
I thought I’d take a longer blogging holiday, but turns out I miss you guys and I’m so into blogging it that I can’t not post– my days just feel kinda empty without it, so I guess y’all are going to be stuck with me through to the the New Year.
Here’s another post on Bluhemia, this time with a turquoise spin. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors, has been ever since I was a child. I love the mix of metalics and turquoise, like on my teacup (No. 4) or on this cool vintage lamp from Retro Art Glass (No. 1). How great is turquoise tufted velvet, too? So cozy, and very glam– with a touch of– yes– bluhemia. No. 3 is a clip from a gorgeous LA home of the creative director of Commune, one of the hands down coolest design studios in L.A. The picture is from House Beautiful see the whole spread here. I love the mix of the red /gold lamp with the turquoise velvet pillow, and the suzani rug and pillows.
The shiny turquoise mismatching ceramics (No.5) have got me inspired as well.
Have a great week everyone. hop you are all having some good relaxation/family time, eating lotsa yummies and maybe even working on stuff that you otherwise don’t have time to do!
