Junky Market Mondays {Rose Bowl}

Sunday was a GORGEOUS day here in LA. Super sunny and hot, the kind of day you could get dehydrated in if you are too stubborn to pay $4 for a bottle of water, and too forgetful to pack your own. But somehow we made it through and found a few hot! things to take home, and even a few more that we loved, but because of cost or space constraints, left.

I loved and left with a large, delicate piece of coral that you will undoubtedly see in upcoming photoshoots, maybe even in the next Style.Play.work.Shop.  I also bought 7 old glass ink bottles that are for an upcoming project that I look forward to sharing with all of you soon. And lastly, I found an affordable vintage surveyors ruler after a long while of being kind of obsessed with them (as demonstrated in this post and this one too.)

There were a whole lotta things that I loved but left this time around.  One of my favorites was that mid-century Adler-esque vase in the upper-left corner, aqua colored with white grooves. I also loved the wooden statue next to it. Bette Crocker’s Picture Cook Book had a gorgeous cover and the velvet rose-colored chair was a little sun-kissed but would have made me feel like a queen anyhow.  Other fun items like those old buckets (I thought would make nice plant-holders) some old jugs I just liked (kind of going through a jug phase…)

There was, as usual, a total overload of beauty, heat, folks and curio– and, as usual,  we loved every minute of it!  I hope you have a lovely week and if you have an extra moment, make a visit over to Lanalou Style (a truly inspirational blog) and see a few of my Christmas Wishlist picks, and a whole lot of other eye candy.
