Friday Faves {Follow the Yellow Brick Road}

Hello friends, happy Friday! If you’re reading this and it’s Friday morning PST, I’m hanging in downtown LA with a bunch of other design geeks listening to a talk by Andrew Gibbs of Dieline at the LA Creative Mornings, a lecture series started by the unstoppable Swiss Miss. I bring this up only because if you do live in or around LA, and are into design, you should start coming to these (free!) lectures because they have become a total highlight of my month. As those of you who live here know, the LA design scene can feel very disjointed, and these talks kind bring the community together.

OK– now, on to today’s Friday Faves. Don’t you just love emerald green??  I mean, how pretty is that sari?  And I’m really loving the new greeting cards by Susy Jack— very retro but so clean and modern too? She’s so great.  And I don’t know about you all but that lime and coconut desert looks seriously delish, and according to the AT post that it’s originally from, they were Frida Kahlo’s faves– which makes them just that much more enticing.

I hope you have some fun stuff planned for this weekend. I am excited to (in the words of my dear friend Shannon) motivate to sleep. What are your plans?
