The man and I got a TV yesterday. It’s been years since we’ve had a TV so it’s quite special. The first thing we watched on it was In the Mood for Love (Traditional Chinese: 花樣年華;) Directed by Wong Kar-wai, starring Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung. Literally one of the most beautiful (and maybe THE most beautiful) films I’ve ever seen–the costumes, the interiors and the literally every single shot looks like an editorial from the magazine of my dreams. If you haven’t seen it, rent it this weekend.
One of my faves too. It’s saturated with beautiful everything, acting, music, colors, prints, hair, dresses, yeah, everything! Hope you’re all settled in and can’t wait for your homie tour!

Ooh, you’re taking me back to my Film Studies days at Oxy…can’t quite recall the plot, but remember it being a beautiful, restrained film.
Love the video stills. I love taking photos of my TV too!!! And even of my laptop when I watch movies on it. This weekend I took photos of “The Jungle Book” and “Harry & the Hendersons”… Maybe I’ll do a blog post with all of those photos, although I’m not sure how I’d relate it to HUSTLE UP. Maybe just that it was my weekend & I finally stopped hustling long enough to watch two movies! Yaay! P.S. I’ll burn you the soundtrack to “In the Mood for Love” and Wong Kar-wai’s “2046”. Everyone has loved her high stiff collars dresses in this movie… I strongly suggest another one by Wong Kar Wai “Hong Kong express”, more fresh and dinamic, but still as lovely as this one….you can’t stop singing “California dreaming” after watching it!
