Often times when I’m looking a a beautiful object, it gives me an idea of a great DIY. Here are 5 things that caught my eye that I may have to try.
1.) This industrial glass pendant lamp looks a lot like simple glass bowl with a copper socket. How difficult could it be to DIY?
2.) I do love a Vintage Indian Umbrellas, but until I’m ready to pay top dollar for one, I may just add some fun fringe and pom pom trim to a simple sun umbrella and see if I can’t capture the same vibe…
3.) Calypso had these geodes on sale last season as coasters. What a chic way to protect your tables, huh? You can get geodes on ebay for a decent price.
4.) Aren’t these painted jars by Tomas Kral stunning? Makes me wanna bust out the metallic spray paint.
5.) I love this 2 tone duffel from The Bureau. Wouldn’t it be fun to hit up the army surplus store and get a canvas duffel to paint?

I think the lamp/glass bowl idea is fab, but how to cut the whole in the glass? Maybe take it to a pro? I used to make rings out of glass beer bottle tops, it was a lot of work to score and pop them off with out slicing a finger…It didn’t always work, but when it did it was AWESOME!
