I had the utter pleasure of being brought to Chicago this weekend for my birthday. Honestly, I was not too excited- “the windy city”?! I hate the wind. Boy, was I wrong. Chi-town sorry for judging – you rock! I had many celebrity sightings – Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van Der Rohe, Louis Sullivan . . . did the electric slide til the break of dawn at my hotel (The Saks) with a some native “cousins” who adopted me for the night, got caught in an awesome warm rain storm, and basically left with a new found love for the Mid-West.
Chicago this one is for you.
Check out this hair!! – Gotta love it.

Chicago was lucky to have you for your birthday! I’m looking out my office window at the corncob buildings right now — they don’t look nearly as nice as the photo you took, though, as it’s about to rain AGAIN!

Oh Chicago! As soon as I saw the first picture!! It’s all coming back. I had a pleasure to live there for just about two years… thousands of pictures… state st. and the Chicago theater sign was taking with about 20 different cameras… Great great place! Wish I was you this past weekend :)
