I cleaned my kitchen today…like, you know, one of those massive clean-outs where you even reorganize the cupboards, throw divorced tupperwear into the recycling and put the spoons and forks in their own little spots? I don’t know what came over me. I also hung my new (to me) 1970’s thrfited lamp and I am really digging the combo of green + metallics.
And I just can’t get enough plants in here..

I like your style, sister! I’m totally digging those tea cups hanging by the window.

I love that you added shelves to your deep casement window! What a great idea… one that I’ve toyed with, but have never done. Our windows aren’t as deep, and actually need to open.
I love a good deep clean! Especially in kitchens and bathrooms, which tend to need that more. I wish I could pick your brain on how to make our kitchen nicer… without storage, it makes keeping things simple-looking quite difficult! (Things are stacked on the fridge, and a lot is out in the open, of necessity.)

@Maggie – thanks so much! The tea cups are one of my favorite parts, too.
@Shari – The shelving was already here when we moved in– I love it too. I think storing things out in the open can be really great looking, too– if there is not a lot of hidden storage available. by mixing pretty jars, baskets, using the walls to hang pots and pans ect. you can maximize the space at hand– and full, cozy kitches are the best! Who likes a cold, empty kitchen??
@dasmaedchenmitdenlocken Dankeschon!!
