Nomadic inclinations at Burning Man. The hot desert sun and the cool whispering nights inspired layers upon layers of pastels, turbans to protect the head and face, and a spirit of peaceful adventure.
The first time I came to Burning Man one evening while roaming around during a dust storm I had a vision. Initially I did not know if it was even real. I saw a procession of people carrying lanterns all cloaked in white. This year at Burning Man I discovered that anyone could volunteer to be part of the ceremony.
The day of these photos we participated in the lighting of the temple ceremony.
Here pictured yours truly with my BF VK Lillie, and her perfectly suited medicine bags.
I was reminded many times of the Tuareg in the deserts, here is a clip from an epic film of the Tuareg with an sound track that is worthy of much, much praise.
