My dear Dabito found this new lounger for me while thrifting. Thanks Dab! I love it and so does Luda!
I had a friend over with her 3 month old baby yesterday and he started to cry non-stop. I looked online for possible reasons and ‘overstimulation’ was listed as a possible motive. Well, if there was one place that provided a color/pattern overload–it’s the Jungalow– and especially now that I’ve integrated all of my finds from Istanbul, the Jungalow is bursting at the seams. Turns out the baby just had gas but none-the-less I think it’s about time to start subtracting instead of adding. Edit, edit, edit!
I’ve always been better at adding than taking away. How about you? Are you an editor when it comes to your home decor? Do you rotate things, edit your collections, always have the same stuff out or just keep on adding layers, like me?
Anyways, if you are in the adding mode and are planning to hit up the Rose Bowl Flea this Sunday, I just wanted to link to the Guide to the Rosebowl Flea that I posted last month. Happy adding and/or happy editing!

I was an adder when I first got my house..but I’ve really been decluttering lately. I think I just might be confused about what I really want!

Lookin’ good sistuh! That chair is so rocking at your jungalow. I love it. And about add or edit. I do both. Add and then edit. :)

I’m with Dab, add then edit! Your place is looking smoking as it is, though, I have to say. Also, the moggie is SO sweet!

I love seeing new shots of the jungalow, so inspiring.
I don’t know if it was due to living in cramped spaces in SF or because of anxiety, or coming back home to clean a garage full of my family’s stuff, that was just that-old stuff that they never threw away- but I’m a constant editor of things because it makes me feel more at peace with my own space and I worry about living in too much stuff and leaving too much stuff.
My rule is if I love looking at it or it makes me happy or I really use it, then I keep it. If not, time to go and give to a friend or send to a thrift store. But it’s never easy. Good luck!

@Will – I have a feeling you’re an impeccable editor!
@Mari I think constant editing is the way to go–take a way one thing at a time, or take away when you add something new. I have your same rule about loving an item though!
