I found this vintage booklet at the Vintage Paper Fair. I was immediately struck by the sweet illustrations that reminded me of one part Charley Harper and one part Rifle Paper Co.
I’m especially in love the way the flora and fauna are drawn. Although some of the depictions of the Canadians may be culturally insensitive–the overall tone and spirit of the maps make me really happy and make me wanna hop in my car with a warm coat and some trail mix and head North.

Oh! Awesome!
Even more so…You’ve shown my Home. Newfoundland {and Labrador} a wonderful place to be. If you drive and boat it this way {next to the drama masks} do drop in for tea!
Be well!

The illustrations are so fresh and graphic, the composition so dynamic, that at first glance I thought this booklet was printed now. Wonderful little gem!

No wonder Americans think we live in igloos and ride on sleds pulled by dogs, with a Mountie on every corner. Cute, yes, but really. 1967 was Canada’s Centenary for goodness sakes.
