Gah! We did it! We got married!
It was not without some last minute stressing over the rain–but the sun came out on Sunday–along with so many people that we love so much. The whole day was *perfection* and I am so grateful to so many friends and family (new and old) who came together to make our *special day* special in every way possible. I could not hold beck my tears of joy from the moment my aisle song started to play. Our guitarist, Fabiano do Nascimiento, was strumming Turn your Lights Down Low by Bob Marley–and I pretty much lost it. So much for my really pretty makeup by my dearest Sole. My ‘little’ brother officiated the ceremony and it was just perfect. Everything–from my dress made by Stella Alberti Couture to every course of our meal by Contemporary Catering that could not have been more yummy. And I actually took time to enjoy my meal and dancing thanks to the most smooth ‘day-of coordination’ by the ever-gifted Kelly Cuadra, who, as far as I’m concerned hides a magic wand and fairy dust in her coat pockets. Kelly also did my flowers together with the insanely talented Britni Wood–including the floral-crown-of-my-dreams. My sister, Faith and Jason’s brother Zachary gave the most hilarious, sweet and memorable speeches and Caitlin and Dabito and Shauna and Fabrizio helped out with the setup (THANK YOU!!) Adam 12 seriously held it down on the turn tables. And Jennifer Young with the assistance of Connie Lyu captured the whole event on camera. My wedding band was an heirloom gifted to me by Jason’s grandmother, Jeannie. Tears.
Gosh and I have SO many more people no thank– not least of all my parents–Charles and Ronnie–and Grandparents–Bette and Art–and Jason’s Parents: Mary and Jim, Denny and Brenda who basically hooked the whole thing up–and everyone who travelled from near and far to witness our declaration of love. I mean, we are one lucky couple.
I’m sure you’re looking forward to seeing pictures–as am I! I will share them with you all soon enough. In the mean time, if you would like to read our vows–they are posted on our wedding blog.
Our sweet cake pictured above was lovingly made by Olivia Lin at Sweet Catastrophe Cakes.
A huge thank you to everyone–really.
With love,
Mr. and Mrs. Rosencrantz
Ahhhhhhhhh!!
