It stands to reason that after years and years of thrifting and collecting odds and ends I have very few matching sets of anything in my kitchen. That having been said, lately I love the way totally mismatched items look decking out a table. I have put together six different place setting as inspiration–each in different styles: natural, eclectic, boho, 70’s, earthy and contemporary. What style is your favorite? How do you like to deck out your table?
Some resources:
Coasters by Wolfum
Fish plates from Anthro from a couple a seasons ago–now they have these that are similarly rad.
Striped paper napkins and pink milk cup from Ikea
They have the rattan covered cups over at West Elm–and they’re on sale.
I love these mis-matched ideas, so great!

I love mismatched table settings, and I don’t have a matching set at home. Numer one and three are my favourties – but I really like them all!
Love them all! I really want to sit down at a table where all of these is set out. It would be so of a glorious mad hatter’s affair. Then again, I always want to feel like I’m in Wonderland.
eclectic and boho spoke to me :)
I think my favourite is the simple, natural one at the top – that feather plate is stunning.
This is such a great idea for a post, I might have to raid my cupboards and do the same (I’ll link back to you if I do of course!)
I am so over matchy matchy. This is where it’s at!
Love all the mismatch styled settings!Your amazing!! each one made me smile — fun and beautiful!!
cheers!!
all beautifully put together..
Gorgeous……inspiried Idea…..all my crockery is mis-matched too as my style is so eclectic….but i’ve never thought to do whole individual place settings, loving that idea. My favourite is the top one.
I have never been a matchy-matchy person, so these look great to me!
