I’m a spa girl. Before I got pregnant I used to go to the spa about once a week and just soak in the jacuzzis and saunas, scrub myself down, do a mask and relax. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and try spas in countries as diverse as Turkey, Morocco, Hungary, Mexico, Switzerland and Italy. I’ve hit up the Russian Baths in NYC and here in L.A. the Korean Spas are my favorite. But since both country and spa hopping are not going to be in the picture for me for a while I’ve decided to bring home the Hammam! While the bathroom at my Echo Park rental will never *truly* be as luxurious as a Turkish or Moroccan hammam, by incorporating some of these elements into my water closet, I should be on my way to major relaxation sesh…join me?

That top photo…why don’t we all put our baths in the floor? Makes good sense. And it’s gorgeous!

I must admit my one and only hammam experience (in Morocco) was wayyyy out of my comfort zone! Still, I was blown away with how awesome I felt afterwards. I would like to go back.

I was in Morocco in March for the first time in my life and now this post is killing me softly. I love Morocco and it’s amazing culture, textiles and people. Great post.
