Jason’s mom lived abroad for many years, and she came back recently with all of these sweet little Indian trinkets which she thought I’d love—and she was right! I immediately imagined that they would make a beautiful mobile and so I grabbed an old wire lamp-shade frame I had lying around and got to craftin’.
I added a trim onto the shade with hot glue. Next I draped the sweet little trinckets over the lamp-shade frame and fixed them into place with a bit of wire. I then added the paper Hamza in the center and in about 15 minutes I had a custom made mobile for our little Boomba.
You can find affordable trinkets for your mobile here, here.

The paper cut Hamza or Hand of Fatima is from here (it was a gift to us from Jason’s aunt and uncle–we love it!) But it would be fun and easy to make your own, too.
Happy Monday sweet friends. Hope you all have a great start to your week!

I love the Hamsaz, they’re everywhere here in Israel. This is probably the mobile with the most personality ever to exist. xo

Where can I find the bent wood hook the mobile is hanging from? I’d love to make one too!

Thanks Everyone!
@Rroberts – the hanger is actually from my mid-century plant hanger–I just borrowed it for the photo. In actuality, I have the mobile hanging from the ceiling with just a little screw hook. I wish I knew where to get more wall hangers like that one!
