Hey friends. I’m in the last stretch here. And when I say ‘last stretch’ I don’t mean that figuratively. My tummy has stretched to the fullest degree and Boomba could be here at any moment. I’m excited, to say the least–and trying not be scared. All of the classes Jason and I have taken–both the more ‘medical’ and the more ‘yogic’ have stressed that fear leads to tension, and tension leads to pain–so I am trying to just take everything as it comes and be chill. Which, admittedly is hard in this 94 degree heat. Anyways, we’ll see how it goes. I know women have been doing this since the beginning of time–so I should be able to handle it too. :D
These snaps of me and Boomba were taken by the amazingly talented Annie McElwain. She came over to the jungalow a couple of weeks ago and we had some fun playing dress-up and making photo magic. I have set up a couple of weeks of guest posts by some of my favorite bloggers for when Boomba arrives, and Annie will share some of the other shots with you then.If I go into labor this weekend, then I’ll catch y’all on the flip side…otherwise, I’ll see you next week! Happy Friday!
And yes, my belly button is still an innie!
I would like to thank Annie profusely for capturing this moment for me, in all my bedecked-boho-boombalicious splendor. Love you girl!

BEAUTIFUL MAMA. Remember your body knows what to do. I urge you to walk and walk and dance for as long as you can during early stages of labor and then let yourself go with the flow and change your position as needed (and often) as the waves come and go and pretty soon Boomba will be in your arms to walk and dance with you some more.

Just started following your blog after building a fort inspired by your valentines fort (in my 3 year olds room) and then finding your 99 ways tshirt book in a vintage store in Monterey. I am inspired by your work and wish you the best in motherhood. I’m certain your inspiration will shine in this arena as well. I am a creative mom of a 3 year old and an 11 month old. Every step of the process is amazing and awesome. Good vibes to you!

This article about the last stages of pregnancy is amazing and important for expectant mothers. The transition from pregnancy to parenthood is a unique journey filled with physical and emotional changes. In this context, I would like to mention this medical company that provides functional medicine services. Functional medicine is an integrative approach to health that considers multiple aspects of a patient’s physical and emotional well-being. For expectant mothers, this may mean providing personalized care and support during pregnancy and after the birth of the baby.
