OK. I need to stop browsing Etsy using the search term ‘hanging planter’ –because unless hospitals are cool with patients paying them in quirky mid-century plant hangers, I’m getting in over my head.
But the fact remains, I continue to fuel my hanging planter addiction, and my newest addition is this mid-century bentwood find that I’ve paired with some of my plant cuttings in glass jars.
Precariously perched? Perhaps.
Supremely stunning? Surely!
Should you fancy something similar I have done some research for you. Here are a couple: 1 2
ah! so beautiful! love the simple lines, but details that are delicate enough to make it stand on it’s own, but also allow for the plants added to come alive. great find!
Just love it, and on reflection I might need one as well :)
I swear we’re sisters from another mother. I also search “hanging planter” on Etsy multiple time a week. I’m working on a blog post about them, even!

the teardrop shape of this one is beauuuuutiful, & the handiwork with the wood appears to be by a very caring craftsman (or craftswoman). such attention to detail! i could see why it was irresistible. i think there are worse habits than hanging planter collecting ^_^
don’t encourage me :P
I love “precariously perched.” That’s exactly how I would decorate, as my boyfriend raises an eyebrow, glancing between me and the rambunctious dog. I persevere however…
OMG you’re hilarious. love this!
so. cool!!
