I love flats. Heels are really fun but they hurt my feet. I look nuts when I try and wear heels for more than an hour because of the lop-sided/skip/hop walk that ensues because my feet hurt like crazy. I’m also a accessories girl. I dress up the most banal of jeans and T’s with crazy jewelry, a dope bag and a pair of killer flats. Done and done.
Enter my latest obsession: Chatelles.
Super French, and tres tres chic–Chatelles are, as they say, “Stinky proof,” because they are Latex Sanitized inside to fight bacteria and smells. They have a comfy, bouncy heel in rubber and leather and are made in Portugal with Italian leather. Fancy. And this is maybe even too obv to point out, but they can be worn ALL THE TIME–dress ’em up, down, or all the way around.
My favorite thing about Chatelles is that they come with contrasting tassels or initials that you can have embroidered into the shoe. My next purchase will be a JB pair for sure. So go and play with the color combos on the site. It took me about an hour of messing around before I chose the turquoise pair with the coral tassels and the orange tassels to go with the Liberty Print pair. I feel like they would make amazing customizable prezzies and would be insanely cute for a wedding party-because you could spell out the names of the bride+groom on your feet. Eeep!
And yes–they do ship worldwide.
What’s your favorite combo?

I like the bright red patent leather of the Valentin with the deep rouge Valetine tassle…the same color as the edging on the shoe. Super cute!
(The text at the beginning of the entry ran over into your second column and made it hard to read. Just wanted to give you a heads up!)
