I’ve been experimenting a lot with our new king sized bed. Over the weekend I found this amazing unsigned painted canvas. I placed it behind the bed to create a ‘head-board’–I am so in love with it! I’ve always wanted to have art behind the bed but don’t love having frames over my head while I sleep–so this is kind of the perfect solution. I also love the way it looks juxtaposed with my new duvet and green and orange are my favorites.

super beautiful! But what about the scruffiness of the canvas against your head? I tend to push up against the wall, so that was my first thought, hah!

It’s actually not really scruffy–but good point ;)

That is an incredible find and it reminds me of a deKooning. I know you’re not asking for advice but I would have it restored and mounted on a stretcher. It’s really a wonderful painting.

I thought about doing that and I very well may :) Thanks!

Beautiful but be careful, paints contain a lot of toxic chemicals and poisons. It might be a good idea to seal it, especially with a baby around :). Lovely colors.

good point! I hadn’t thought about that–I may need to find another spot for it in the jungalow :)

bed frames that are made form steel are always great because they are long lasting. .
