For the second installment of Like She Said, Jennifer Chong has the floor. Jennifer is a fellow explorer. She has a real knack for creating as well as curating pretty pictures and she’s one of those people who I email when I have questions about business stuff ‘cuz she is one smart lady. I love her quote because it reminds me that having an adventure doesn’t have to mean packing your passport. It can be anything that gets you out and exploring, anything that takes you out of your daily routine. I paired her quote with a photo I took in Santa Monica a month or so ago when Jason, Ida and I went there on an adventure–no agenda–just exploring and being tourists in our own town. I snapped this photo of the beach and it has become a favorite photo of mine. It takes exploring to get fresh, new inspiration, so why not do it, often?
From Jennifer: I am a true believer that experiences are more valuable than things. I think some of my fondest memories are traveling with my friends and family. A few years ago I spent two months traveling in Southeast Asia, I thought I’d really miss my fancy material goods but really I wanted to trade it all in for a longer journey! It doesn’t have to be about somewhere far and exotic it might be a fun hike or bike ride along the beach.

Great quote. Life is a great adventure. Blessings
So true! I’m finally getting that! Here’s to more adventures w family and friends!
Love this – Robert and I just had this epiphany recently…we tend to work 7 days a week and it is hard to take a break. Last week we visited the Gamble House in Pasadena, and felt so refreshed and inspired. We decided to make a goal of at least 1 field trip every 2 weeks. There are so many inspiring neighborhoods to drive in, hikes, beaches, museums, etc. to see in LA. Making time to stop work and get out is a new priority!
yes! It *really* makes a big difference!!
I love exploring new places with my children; playgrounds, hikes even restaurants. It can create an innate sense of adventure…(even locally)
#Bold move of the day…I asked poppop to go to the beach…he said yes…foggy day, great adventure. Love love love the foto!
