Not to toot my horn or anything, but you know when you’re on the right track as a blogger when one of your very favorite brands contacts you out of the blue to collaborate. When Plümo contacted me–I just about fell out of my chair with excitement. I want to LIVE in their shop. Once you click over you’ll know what I mean. My persimmon heels are ACTUALLY COMFORTABLE. Seriously. I didn’t even have to break them in. My lace shrug turns even the most boring outfit into something special, and my beaded necklace adds that perfect POP–and they are those nice, heavy beads. The real deal.
I got so many compliments on this outfit while I was out in Atwater to snap these pics (thanks Dabito) that every other word off my tongue was Plümo.
I’m excited to be able to offer you all a 15% discount on all SS13 (full price) items. It will be valid for up to four weeks–Just use the code ‘JUSTINA’ at checkout.

When I see you posting your fave clothing designers’ photos, I’m often disappointed. I’m so used to, and so much love, your zany and zaftig figure that it bums me out whenever I see such thin models in the photos.
Do you ever make an effort to find designers with fuller figured women? Does it bother you to look through photos of clothing on such thin women? Do you find it hard to imagine how something would look on your figure vs. the model’s figure?
Hey Fenna–Thanks so much for this comment. I do make an effort to find designers who use full-figured models, but the truth is, I rarely (if ever) like the clothing! It’s VERY annoying! My attempt to address this is by posting pictures of myself in the clothing–but I wish that there were more options in the world when it came to seeing clothes on women of more diverse body shapes. Luckily, I feel like I know my body so well I can usually tell if something will flatter my figure or not from the cut–but in general I would LOVE to see more diversity repped in the fashion industry. I do not believe in one standard of beauty and all that is Zany and Zaftig is my little attempt to counterbalance the “Size 0” craze. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here, Fenna.

Body shape is affected by body fat distribution, which is correlated to current levels of sex hormones.[notes 6] Muscles and fat distribution may change from time to time, unlike bone structure, depending on food habits, exercises and hormone levels…”;`
