I went to two markets over the weekend–a vintage one, and a kind of street-fair with crafts and food and some vintage, too. I got that little orange vase from the ’70’s for about six bucks, which, considering that’s how much a latte costs here–is pretty good.
At the street fair I stopped at a stand with the Alphabet print, that, funnily enough, I recognized from Pinterest. The print is by Leise Dich Abrahamsen, who was there at the fair. She is a sweetheart and we got to chatting about Pinterest, blogs (she has one too) and I came home with two of her pieces. Her prints inspired the above scandibo-style vignette. She has a brick and mortar shop here in Copenhagen that I will be sure to visit while I’m here. It’s fun (and funny) to talk blogs and pinterest with people on this side of the world. Makes the world feel very small–which, while traveling, is a nice feeling.

That vase is adorable! Great finds! I absolutely love shopping for home decor items as souvenirs; they make such great conversation pieces when people come over: “Oh, yeah, I picked those up at a street fair in Copenhagen after chatting with the artist for a while.” So much better than catalog shopping! :)

The Lapa Market behind the Friedrichsbhorg Rathaus that happens every saturday in the Spring/Summer and the Other one was a street fair on the Street where ‘Granola’ is– but I think that was a one-off deal. so lucky you get to live here!!
