Jenny Vorwaller

Original art really takes a room to the next level, yes? Well I’m totally smitten with artist Jenny Vorwaller and her brilliant sense of color.

I have always been a sucker for abstract, modern art with a happy tone and emotional strokes and these works of hers do it for me.

Jenny (who I met through this wonderful blograminterestnet) and I have been toying around with the idea of doing a collaboration in order to bring our wacky sensibilities together in some way–and while we haven’t yet honed in on exactly what that collaboration will be, I know it’s gonna be colorful, nature-inspired, and whimsicalissima. In the mean time she sent me a couple of her throw pillows that I keep on my bed, and now when I go to sleep at night her work is on the brain and I conjure up fanciful collaboration ideas, one of which is bound to happen sooner or later. I love how the pillows look with my painted canvas ‘headboard’.

Is there anything particular that you could imagine Jenny and I working on together (also keeping in mind she’s Seattle-based and I’m over here in LA LA Land)? We’d love to hear your ideas!
