Family. It’s amazing that when I married Jason, I got two new families–the one that I was creating with him, plus his whole family. This means we get to spend time just outside Seattle in Hood Canal at h̶i̶s̶
OUR family reunions in the summers–with all of Ida’s cousins and uncles and aunties and with our beloved Grandma Mary–which is just pretty damn wonderful.

It’s pretty dang special right?! DId you make it over to Alderbrook Resort? It’s my favorite escape pretty much anywhere. So fun to know you know about my little secret haven too!

Lovely photos. I especially enjoyed the beautifully vibrant flowers as well as baby Ida in the lion print top. I have affectionately named this photo-undiluted joy! :-D I also enjoyed seeing adorable baby Ida in the repuposed kitchen sink. My favorite of all is baby Ida lovingly gazing at her father while in the safety and security of his hands while in the air. Breathtaking!
Thank you for being a friend in my head and a travel guru. I must add Hood Canal, specifically the Alderbrook Resort to my list of destinations. Going to the Bahamas via criuse for vacation next week. Planning trip to Ghana December.
Thank you for living and treating life well.
