Leave it to Pinterest. I was just scrolling through my feed when I see this picture, and I’m like ‘cute’ and then I’m like, wait–that’s MY bedroom..but I’ve never seen this photo before! What?!? Then I click through to the Tumblr and it takes me to Elle Interior Sweden where I discover that “Urban Vintage”, a book by Ida Magntorn (an Elle Interior editor), is out (or is coming out?..my Swedish is a little rough around the edges…) and it features the Jungalow! Ida came to L.A. to take pictures this past Spring and I got to meet her and her adorable family–but I hadn’t seen any of the photos that she snapped! Anyway, pretty exciting! Love all the other sneak preview images so click through to check it out–and if any of you speak Swedish, can you tell me/us what’s the deal and how we can get our hands on a copy? I’m especially excited about this book, because not only our Jungalow featured, but my sister Faith’s ‘Tree House” is in there too–It’s a family affair! Hope you’re having a nice weekend!!

i love your window panes.

You can get the book here, not sure if they ship internationally though! The form is pretty standard, and with a bit of help from (at least my friend) google translate, you should be able to get through it!

Hi Justina,
what a crazy find!
I wanted to ask you about your hanging string lantern thing above your bed. I found a very similar one although it is all white and a bit grubby. I was wondering if you found yours that clean or did you paint it? Just thinking abut what I can do to mine to get it looking a bi nicer,
Thanks! Sarah
Justina says
Hey Sarah! I found mine clean, very randomly at a thrift shop in Switzerland–although I know now that it’s turkish. If mine was white a grubby i may try dying it??! Good luck! I just adore them–where did you find yours?
Sarah says
Hi Justina,
I found mine at a flea market in Sydney. I think dying it sounds like a good idea. Nice to know they’re Turkish, I had no idea- just thought groovy!
Thanks!
