I visited the LACMA over the weekend and while I was dropping jaw over some of my favorite modern artists, it occurred to me that it would be really fun to design a room using a color palette that Picasso created (or Matisse, Kahlo, etc. etc.). The idea popped into my head as I was staring at this very painting (Pablo Picasso – “Harlequin”/ 1923..) See, I would have never thought to put together cream, forest green and powder blue–but isn’t it a magnificent combo? And just like that–a new series is born: Masters’ bedrooms!

awesome- i love the colours! can’t wait to see what Matisse and Gauguin’s rooms look like. i actually have one of my newest flower crown photos inspired by a Gauguin painting, but haven’t posted it yet. I need to be more of a mover and shaker like you ;)
