She brings me more joy than I ever could have imagined. Sometimes I see my mother in her, sometimes I see Jason. At times I see quick flashes of myself. But mostly, I see Ida. I see her good nature, her warmth, her silliness and her quiet observing. I see her generosity and her curiosity, her determination and her frustrations. I watch her and can’t believe that she was made out of our love, that I grew her in my tummy, that she is ours.

Ida lets me melt, even in front of the computer. her eyes are like deep and calming lakes. there must be a lot of love surrounding her!
