So when Lorenza Filati landed in my inbox, I was like ‘oh hell yeah.’ Totally up my ally! The Lorenza Filati home collection is made from hand woven fabrics from different regions of Guatemala. The line includes vintage brightly woven fabrics from the indigenous clothing of the region.

Breathtaking!! The textiles are so very beautiful. I fell in love with quilting because of a Guatemalan artist who used traditional fabrics in her work. I hope to go there someday to learn more about it.

Were these fabrics bought at a fair market value? I’m always cautious about over spending on this kind of market. Are the original makers of these fabrics paid at an equal amount and are they being recognize for their original work?
