I met Liza Yee, owner and designer of Dreams of Gold about fifteen years ago. We studied together at UCLA and then again when we both did our junior year abroad at the same art school in Italy. When we reconnected on instagram recently, I became immediately smitten with her one of a kind, handmade textile jewelry and home line.
The materials used include merino wool, cashmere, silk, camel, vintage ribbons, Tibetan bells, crystals, sea flotsam, and other findings. How beautiful are her mobiles, necklaces and crowns? (she makes them for kids as well!) I also love that the name of the line is taken from the Italian saying ‘Sogni D’oro’ literally translated it means ‘Dreams of Gold’ but colloquially it means ‘sweet dreams.’ Discover the rest of the collection here.
