I was on the West Side in Venice yesterday and had an hour to kill so I decided to fart around and do some “inspiration shopping,” as I like to call it. I have always loved indigo dye and yesterday I saw so many great indigo-dyed pieces–my heart was almost exploding–and it pretty much did explode when I saw the price tags on some of that stuff. I mean, really?? So I exercised some restraint, didn’t buy anything, and when I got home I scoured etsy for some more affordable versions of all that indigo dyed goodness. Here are my faves, all under $100.:
Silk tie dress ($72)
Butterfly Dress ($77)
“shibori” circle pattern silk-screened onto thick, sturdy paper ($20)
Kantha Quilt ($58)
70’s tunic ($48)
hand died shibori pillow ($48)
bedding ($89)
