I’m not unearthing any real secrets here…Commune Design is super well-known for all kinds of amazing work, not least of which the Ace Hotels…I have long time been a fan of their quintessentially California vibe and especially the way they combine vintage with handcrafted elements…How amazing is this patchwork stair runner?

I love this idea of adding cement tile around the fire place. Since tile can be pricey, seems like a great way to add the tile to the living room without having to spend a fortune.
You know a love a yellow couch. It pairs so well with those amazing pillow (how great is that bolster?) and obv I love that kilim covered ottoman.
In this vignette I love the hanging rug as curtain idea. Sexy.
And what a cozy bedroom. I could do without the taxidermy but I sure do love the bedding and the banana rocking chair in back…
This paint color is stunning and once again…a rug as curtain. Love it.
My next bed *will* be a platform bed. Mark my words. Love the floor pillows on the bed here too. And the pipe sconce is hot.

I so admire Commune’s approach to design and living. I had the opportunity to meet them at Heath Ceramics in SF a few month’s ago and had my Commune book signed and even asked them a question in front of a large group of people. It was an inspiring evening!
Lucky! That sounds amazing–I got to meet Roman last year at Modernism Week in Palm Springs but I’d pay a pretty penny for a signed copy of the book! They are kinda my heroes. :D

My friend Betsy gave sent me this book for Christmas. There were so many rooms on those pages that I just thought were genius. It’s a great book.

I could say very clearly that delivering a lecture isn’t just material, it’s obviously a very difficult challenge to get the reader enjoyable at first. It’s a very difficult work. I do understand that, and my friends have nice to say that you can read and look at a company now that can help a lot, e.g. you can see them on powerpoint presentation design services .
