I was listening to my local radio station, KCRW this morning on my way home from the gym, when I heard a story about AirBnB taking off in Cuba. I’ve never been to Cuba, but have always wanted to visit. All the photos I’ve seen from Havana have a ton of color, lots of vintage elements, amazing foliage and incredible architecture (tile!!). Needless to say, as soon as I got home I hopped on to AirBnB to virtually walk through some of the homes available for stays to fish for design inspiration…
There is a lot to love…These aqua walls!?!
Lush foliage….
Corals, and teals and ornate patio chairs…
High-gloss green floors? Yes please!
Walls in totally unexpected colors…and my oh my that tile!!
Stunning views…
Old world charm…
And, of course, a general love of plants. I would love to visit someday!

Let’s take The Jungalow on the road! These are amazing! I’ve always wanted to visit Cuba!
It looks like in the old movies shot in Cuba. No surprise, they’re lovely.
I heard that story, too. I’m itching to explore and stay in some of those homes!
Dying to go to Cuba, especially as a Canadian, since I know the Americans will be flooding in soon :D
Also, I feel like ferns are (and should be) the next fiddleleaf fig.
Interesting airbnb. When we were in cuba back in the day every family had a room or bed for rent, with coffee, sometimes dinner, too. They had to register with the gov. They got a triangle on their door, and it’s how folks made enough money to buy beans and soap and the occasional chicken. Every family did it. Doctoras, camereras, todo, todo. Back in the day the places we stayed weren’t nearly this elegant, and water for a shower came through a hose dropped down through a window. As beautiful as your fotos, and warm and welcoming..but not so functional…I’m just saying.
Beautiful photographs, you certainly have an eye of beautiful settings and scenery. I am not savvy to designing but I love beautiful things. Thank you for sharing your photographs.
DREAMY! This calls for a field trip! :D
Love this post.
