When my girl Erin from Apartment 34 showed me the pics of the house she had recently purchased with her beau in San Fran, I gasped out loud. I mean, buying an old Victorian home is just so dreamy–I can’t imagine all the fun they are going to have decorating it and growing with it as their family grows.
She asked me to take a stab at her living room decor, and I happily complied. Her style is very different from mine. Erin’s look is very modern, clean and sophisticated and those wouldn’t necessarily be the first words I’d use to describe my style. So I wanted to start with an anchor piece to built around and I chose the above emerald sofa from Chairish. It was a good way to marry my jungalicious boho vibes with her clean, modern lines.
Using that sofa as my starting point, I added a bunch of other modern, sculptural elements including these vases, whose lines ad a bit of quirk to the situation. And I love me a good Senufo stool–they are carved from a single block of wood and work at once at art and as a practical foot stool.

The sofa is absolutely dreamy. It reminds me of Oz..you want to get lost(with a book) on this sofa.
