There is no easier way to feel like a boho queen than to sit upon a boho throne–AKA the peacock chair. The sheer scale of the peacock chair commands mucho attention and the wicker brings in the jungalow vibes.
Use a peacock chair at the head of a dining table, like Sacha Pytka does (this is an outtake from The New Bohemians).
Or place on in the corner with a sheepskin instead of a cushion like Paige Morse (in another New Boho Outtake…)
Painting peacock chairs can have a fun, calming effect. I love this white one at Dabito‘s home in New Orleans.
And here’s a peaock chair painted turquoise I used in a project last year. They are fun for outdoors too–and the paint can help to protect the chair from the elements.

Do you by any chance have a resource for these? I used to have a pair like those heavier more detailed one, and now I am sick that I got rid of them 25 years ago. I want them back! Now I can’t find any.

i was wondering if anyone knows of a resource for repairing these chairs. I have one that is in very good shape aesthetically, but it is structurally unsound and we can’t sit in it! I’ve tried posting on Craigslist in my area (providence, RI) and haven’t had any luck.
Thanks!
