We are making progress in our master bathroom remodel and are starting to look at fun details, like the vanity and mirror situation. I’m really drawn to vintage mirrors — I love the look of old glass. But because the room is so small, we really need our mirror to double as a medicine cabinet too, so I’m thinking of getting a vintage mirror and somehow DIY’ing it into a medicine cabinet…so stay tuned…

I am more of minimalistic design for bathroom. But a vintage mirror is a nice change in design.

Your mirror idea sounds wonderful.
Hopefully it can work out-our framer was very skeptical when we asked him whether he can attach a vintage door to a niche frame..we also work on increasing the space(kids’ bathroom), so we added a shallow but long niche between the studs, and I wanted to frame it in a more interesting way..Oh well.
Etsy has some amazing things sometimes..medicine cabinets that look so cool and different, because they have this vintage character about them.
For now I went with a standard-but-nice mirror with a shelf, in addition to the niche..but I got some charming, very non-bathroom-ey lights. I hope an inspector will let them be))
