I’m shopping for night stands, and they have to be small because in our new master bedroom configuration there are doors on either side of our bed. I have so many different ideas–I love the simplicity, functionality (and price tag!) of using a simple crate as a night stand, I also love the simple, rustic look of the logs as nightstands, and the airiness of pedestals, drum tables and rattan, but I’m leaning towards something with drawers (or at least shelves) to maximize storage.
I’m also considering finding non-matching nightstands for Jason and I, so long as they look somehow related — like the wood finish is the same, or they are the same color. Any style of nightstand could work in our room once paired with the right balance of jungalicious accessories, so I’ve went ahead and rounded up 24 great options, all under our max budget of $250 per nightstand. (Although admittedly, the crate idea is sounding more and more appealing!!)

Great choices! I feel you with the storage. Loft life doesn’t allow for much space and storage either! Have to make the most of it!
I love the second one from the top! Now I need it!!
I’m gravitating to the mid century #4..I always need book space (hiding space, too) & a lamp on my nightstand. I wish I could chuck most of my furniture & get the look I really want, which is something you’d see in the 1940s-50s tropical-y movies. :)
When it comes to case goods, I’m (almost) always drawn to mid-century..
And my nightstand needs to be as big as possible, because I keep, like, twenty books on mine…and a lamp..and a water bottle..
Also I prefer the ones with a drawer or two. Open storage space, in addition to a drawer, is also nice, because I’d put most of my books there..
I don’t even have a nightstand per se-it’s a pretty big end table. With a drawer. And this big end table is always cluttered I must say. It doesn’t look too bad but just because I put everything in pretty piles..looks clean from afar))
My husband has something that is probably..short library step stool or ladder? This thing looks cute(again, because I put everything there in pretty piles too)), but of course no drawer, and can’t hold a lamp..
Not that we never looked for normal nightstands. Just didn’t find them yet.
Once we saw some beauties on Craigslist. We went to check them out. Oh my, the amount of storage!! They even had some miraculous hidden parts that slid out and back in..
But they were some very reddish and very expensive type of wood..rosewood maybe? They were too good. Were hard to integrate.
I just thought-some people can be a bit like that:) Very refined people, for example.
We’re totally rocking the vintage crate-as-nightstand thing right now- we screwed them into the wall so they’re floating. I do sometimes want to re-do the whole room though and get something a little more sleek and less rustic. I’m really feeling #2!
Mid century #6. The edges on the top would keep your lip balm from rolling off! That may or may not happen to me all the time. ? It also has great storage and room for a lamp and plant and water on top.
I love the Mid Century collection.
Cant find #10- 2drawers, but it looks more mid- century than clean lines.
All of the information I’ve gleaned from it basically has been quite useful, and I’d for the most part want to generally commend you on really your abilities, actually contrary to popular belief
