If you bring as many plants home as we do, hanging planters will be your best friends. Make use of all that valuable overhead space when you run out of room on flat surfaces! We’ve spotted some great options lately…
We’ll always have a soft spot for macrame planters, but we’re also loving some of the spins on retro designs- how good is that all-beaded piece or the strappy leather number?! Need a little bling for your plants? These brass and copper yum yums make the perfect backdrop for lush foliage. Don’t even get us started on Melanie Abrante’s cork planters– available in different sizes and a few design options — the larger one even doubles as a hanging produce basket! Love. And while air plants may not take up that much space, how dope is that air plant ‘cradle’ from Pinterest favorite Mudpuppy? The perfect addition for a hanging garden, or even an art wall!
We’re hard pressed to choose just one — good thing there’s always a plant in need of a home around here! You can shop our faves below.

I’ve been eyeing hanging planters for a while, but don’t have one yet. I love how simple some of these are!

Hi Stacy! It’s from Urban Outfitters. If you find it in the little slide show at the bottom of the page, it’ll take you right to it. :)

No. no, no. Definitely no for macrame planters. I had one who molded and one night it broke. Beside the noise of planters falling down the mess was horrible. Bought next day a plastic hanging planter. It works so fine.

I like hanging planters because of the space thing. It allows you to use your counters for other things. My problem is that most hanging planters have no drainage. Sure you can use pebbles but you still have to be careful. I have drilled holes in my clay pots and using wires concocted a saucer that you can hook on the pot. They sell plastic “drip catchers” but they’re ugly
