Every mama has their own unique mothering style. My mom is a psychologist and a teacher so she’s always been the type of mom that gave me just the right amount of coddling I needed to figure out how to do something on my own. I think I’m still discovering what kind of mom I am. Some days (or moments) I think I’m more carefree and go-with-the-flow, and some days (or moments) I think I’m more stern and structured. When I think back to my childhood, I have no clue how my mom did all that she did — raise three kids (well!) and run a school at the same time? Bananas. Every family dynamic comes with it’s own set of struggles and every role in it comes with its own set of juggles, but I think we can all agree that being a mom is tough.
I’ve learned so much over the years from my mom, my sister, my mother-in-law, and grandmother and gleaned mothering tips and ideas from them over the years. From my mom I’ve grasped how to make learning fun, from my sister I’ve learned how to travel with kiddos, from my mother-in-law I’ve learned how to quickly adapt to different developmental stages of my child’s growth and from my grandmother I’ve learned the art of multi-tasking.
As Mother’s Day approaches, I’m thinking about ways to make the mothers in my life know how appreciated they are, and gift them something that speaks to their personalities, and everybody loves flowers. So from now through Mother’s day, I’ve partnered with Teleflora to share 25% off any bouquet you’d like to gift to the mamas in your life. Just use the code Jungalow25 (offer is good through May 8th, 2016)
If you need guidance in choosing, I’ve picked out some bouquets that I really love with some ideas of what types of mama may be drawn to these different arrangements:
For the mama that is always doing a million things and needs a moment of zen there’s this sweet succulent-y arrangement:
For the mama that needs a little Romance in her life I’d go with this one. Calla lilies are so sexy, aren’t they?
For the mama that needs some good fortune in her life– a little money tree can’t hurt!
For the mama that needs to cheer up, I’m pretty sure that Teleflora’s Painted Blossoms Bouquet would make anybody smile.
For the mama who is looking to connect with her passion — this simple bamboo vase and blooms with saturated-hues ought to do the trick.
All Teleflora floral arrangements are professionally arranged and hand-delivered by a local florist in your neighborhood, so between that and the discount code I think we should be all set to hook up all the tough mothers in our lives with a little bit of extra sweetness.
Happy Mother’s day!!

Beautiful ideas, Justina! Since my mother’s been a florist for years, I’ve had to steer clear of the cut flower gift for Mother’s Day. Instead I bring her several big Boston ferns for her front porch. Maybe it’s the nurturing quality of motherhood that makes us turn to gifts like plants and flowers to celebrate their impact on our lives?

Flower shops https://www.hummings.com/hand-bouquets.html offer a wide variety of flora gifts. But, on a birthday, it is supposed to give a bouquet to match the addressee in order to please the birthday man and express recognition. It is better to present large bouquets to relatives, their size reflecting the importance of the person in the life of the congratulator.
